kimcruiser Posted November 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2005 While cruising over Thanksgiving the dining room served a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner. It was great.
Djptcp Posted November 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2005 We have spent a number of Thanksgiving and Chrismas holidays aboard ship and they all had a traditional menu in addition to other items. The lines include Norwegian, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. I always chose the non-traditional dishes, but my husband usually has chosen turkey, etc. and was pleased with the selections. Not like home, but close enough!

Rare nimbex1970 Posted November 27, 2005 #8 Share Posted November 27, 2005 we just had thanksgiving dinner on Carnival Triumph. I ordered the traditional turkey. slices of white and dark meat over a moist stuffing, a small side of white potato all drizzled with gravy and cranberry sauce. Dessert was steaming apple pie. I was disapointed in the stuffing, completely bland... the apple pie lacked the "mom's" flaky crust and tasted bland as well. All in all, for serving 3300 pax, something gives and you just can't match homemade chutney, sauces and mixes. While it was not 5 * dinning, or homemade (obviously;))... the quality was still there and we were satisfied, just not wow'd. carol
