There is a Black Howler Monkey Sanctuary in Belize. The ship tour goes to the zoo and the monkey sanctuary...different locations but we'd like to do the Altun Ha Ruins and the Monkey Sanctuary so wondered if there were private tour guides available in Belize.

We didn't see the howlers, but we definitely heard them! We went to the Lamanai ruins. It was a great excursion and hearing the monkeys just put it over the top! Very cool experience

We were in Belize the 1st week of Dec & wanted to see the Howler monkeys. We took a private tour with King David Castillo that included the monkeys. Not only did we see them but they came down out of the trees & ate leaves out of our hands!! Our whole tour was fantastic! Check him out!

When we cruise most of the times we use shoreexcursioneer, I have always found good prices and good tours. I haven't done this one, but you can find on their website the Altun Ha + Monkey Reserve. Maybe you'll find something that fit your needs.
