Seeing Turtles St Thomas

Hi

 

Has anyone got any tips of a DIY trip to see the turtles. NCL have an offering which we'd be happy to book, but we are also up for saving money too :)

 

The ncl trip is called 'Turtle Cove Catamaran Sail & Snorkel'

 

Also, does anyone know if the turtles that are mentioned as being seen actually wild or are they kept in 'real life' looking pools / lagoons?

I have done a DIY tour on the Fury sailboat to swim with the turtles... Yes, they are wild turtles, not in some type of enclosure. It was $75 per person, and includes open bar and snacks. http://www.usvisailing.com/daysails.html
