NFL Playoff games on poolside screen?

Hey everyone, just a quick question for anyone who has sailed during a past NFL playoff time frame. I have been on a few Carnival ships during the regular football season, but never during the playoffs, but will be on the Magic from Jan 14-21.

I have read a few places that playoff games are shown on the big poolside screen, and I have seen a few pictures online as well. Just curious if this is a regular thing that Carnival does?

On past cruises I watched the games at the EA Sports bar, but since I'll be on the Magic this time, I know they don't really have their "designated" sports bar like the other ships do.

Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

Following this thread with a bit of interest... Ive seen playoff games on Princess and RCI but not Carnival. Ive heard sometimes Carnival will use the theatre as well. BTW, its a blast -especially when your team wins! I am also willing to bet that many will forego early dining on formal night on 1/15 to watch the late game! :D

I'm just glad I will be at sea watching and not at a safety briefing!

Most of the time they do.

I was on the Pride last week for week 17's games, and it was not on the big screen or anywhere besides the sports bar, casino, and your room's tv. It was kind of surprising that Carnival didn't take advantage of showing the games all over the ship, as I would imagine that would drive up bar sales for that day.
