rcb5588 Posted January 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2017 Hey everyone, just a quick question for anyone who has sailed during a past NFL playoff time frame. I have been on a few Carnival ships during the regular football season, but never during the playoffs, but will be on the Magic from Jan 14-21. I have read a few places that playoff games are shown on the big poolside screen, and I have seen a few pictures online as well. Just curious if this is a regular thing that Carnival does? On past cruises I watched the games at the EA Sports bar, but since I'll be on the Magic this time, I know they don't really have their "designated" sports bar like the other ships do. Any insight is appreciated, thanks! Ross

Ive heard sometimes Carnival will use the theatre as well. BTW, its a blast -especially when your team wins! I am also willing to bet that many will forego early dining on formal night on 1/15 to watch the late game! :D I'm just glad I will be at sea watching and not at a safety briefing! adam3313 Posted January 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2017 I sailed in 2013 on the Dream and have picture proof of watching Divisional playoff games on the big screen.
RHilla619 Posted January 5, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2017 I was on the Pride last week for week 17's games, and it was not on the big screen or anywhere besides the sports bar, casino, and your room's tv. It was kind of surprising that Carnival didn't take advantage of showing the games all over the ship, as I would imagine that would drive up bar sales for that day. mishka422 Posted January 5, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2017 I'll be on Sunshine during the NFC and AFC championship games. I hope they will show them on the big screen. If not, the sports bar is going to be a madhouse Sent from my SM-G925V using Forums mobile app
Rare Honolulu Blue Posted January 5, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2017 I was on the Triumph last year during the conference finals. I watched the evening game (NE-DEN) on the big screen; I think the other one was also shown there.
