Fll hotel walking distance to restaurants

I'm having a hard time narrowing it down, we are looking to possibly stay in a decent hotel for around $150 pre-cruise. We are flying in in the evening and would like to be able to walk to a restaurant or bar/grill for a few drinks and something to eat. Last time we stayed at la Quinta tamarack and while we liked the hotel it has nothing close by and some of the other hotels I've seen suggested are close to $300 a night.

I realize you get what you pay for, just wondering if there's a happy medium out there someone might know about.

There are two La Quinta Inns in Plantation just a few blocks from each other. Both are very nice and the one on 6th Street was recently remodeled.

 

Another option is Hampton Inn-Plantation which has both an airport shuttle and a Port Everglades shuttle.

 

All three hotels are walking distance to two malls, a Publix Grocery Store, Total Wine and dozens of restaurants and two sports bars.
