Last day at sea. I tried to do as much as possible, captains and Engineers Q and A, game shows etc. I packed most of my stuff on this day. Our cruise was coming to an end, 🤦*♂️ oh no!

Our next day was Montevideo, Uruguay [emoji1257]

We went with our cc arranged private tour, Edgar tours. Our tour was called Montevideo highlights and BBQ.

We went into a passenger van, our driver/guide was Herbert. He was great. We had good weather.

I have many photos:

We went to a market that we had free time.

The best part of the day was when Herbert took us to his own house where he introduced us to his wife and beautiful daughters. They helped Herbert prepare and serve a great Uruguayan BBQ. It was fantastic and very much the highlight of our day. Such a pretty patio, such great hospitality!

This was to be our last night of the cruise [emoji568]. I left Mike to pack, I laid out in the sun, drinking rebellious fish drink, watching the harbor, tug boats, massive group of rusting sinking old ships? in the harbor, watching the tango show. Feeling sad that this would be our last night. Caught the last show. We went to dinner rather late at main dining room. The crew looked tired by this point.

The next day was a day at sea. We had our meet and greet, latitudes party and ship activities to do.

Our cruise critic roll call was very active. Our CC hostesses were great. They did so many nice things for us and were very well prepared. The M and G was very well attended and the officers introduced themselves and answered a lot of questions (a lot about tendering).

Our hostesses also arranged many private excursions that were very good and saved a lot of people, who chose to book shore excursions with them, a lot of money! Thanks Iliana!

After the M&G, we had our gift exchange, which was really fun, and the retired teacher who ran it was great!

Went to latitudes party and won a spa treatment! Yay!

Off to casino:fe3111fa2b8acfc8e8df9bb9068aef28.jpgad514c1f9be40e4dd12a47901d868dd1.jpg7a6e3007150f9a1e11f1d1055d018c94.jpg7f49743cb44ac90648c1eb652943e8c4.jpg

Hi Joyce, so nice to see you had a fantastic cruise and a very lucky night at the casino!

The lady that ran the gift exchange is Diane and so glad that you enjoyed a few of the excursions that Elaine and I planned.

Your pictures are great and let me see parts of Chile that I didn't get to see since I did not take any NCL tours.

Roberto did make everything fun and all the activities out by the pool were too.

Thank you for sharing and it was great to meet you and Mike.

We flew home, with long layovers, delayed flights, a red eye, but we made it home to Christmas [emoji319] parties and activities in full swing.

It was a great cruise. This was on our bucket list for many years and I'm so glad we made it happen.

South America is so beautiful, so captivating, the people are so friendly, the food and wines are so great, the wildlife is so unusual and the scenery is spectacular.

I hope someday we can return.dbfe80d3eaa3cacf0d5a9d672318a3ea.jpg

Hope you get to visit my home town of Melbourne

I recently met with a British couple that we met on a cruise and showed them the highlights of our great city. I had a ball and they got to see a different view than the normal tours.

Great reviews and extra special with pics

We are doing the reverse of this cruise fir our 49th wedding anniversary in 2019, some way off but now I am really keen.

Can I ask if not too rude how much was the plane excursion?

And by chance do you have names of companies that you did the private tours through?

TIA

Cheers from down under

Rustynees:)
