Taxi from airport in Tahiti to ship

Looking for recent info(2017) on transportation at night from airport near Papeete to Cruise ship dock. We do not have ship transfers arranged so would like to know the cost in US dollars and if large vans are an option so we can share with others. It would be hard to ride share in a small taxi if everyone has a large suitcase.

Your question needs a bit more explaining. Is your cruise overnighting in Papeete? Otherwise, why would you want to go to the ship's dock in the middle of the night? You're either to early or to late to board for your cruise!

 

You may want to book a hotel in Papeete, because there is no area at the dock to sit or remain overnight while waiting to board.

 

Taxis to town were around $25, but that was a couple of years ago.

We arrived in Papeete 8 pm and when we were finished at the airport, we got a cab for 3 of us that got us to the ship by around 9:30. Cost was $30 which included a decent tip. I know others on our cruise used larger vehicles but I think those were arranged in advance. There was a muster drill for us "late arrivals" and the ship sailed at 5am the next day.

We took a cab to a downtown hotel for $30 or so, two of us. I believe there is a flat fee plus a bag charge. The cruise dock is downtown.

Try to fly in early if you can, we flew in four days early and spent the time at Moorea.

Half of our cruise ship was in Moorea pre cruise. Once we boarded we recognized so many people.
