  1. Nautica is a lovely ship but quite unlike Marina. Much smaller, less specialties and more intimate. We were on her for 30 days, Dubai to Cape Town. Unless you do pre or post stays or overnight excursions, chances are you are not going to see a lot of wildlife on this itinerary. When day excursions are offered you would get to any wildlife reserve well after prime viewing times. Yes you will see giraffe, many more ungulates and maybe a few big cats. We did our own day excursions to private reserves from Richards Bay (Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve) and Durban (Tala), specifically to see white rhino. Having been to Maputo once, I would not waste my money again for the visa. Cape Town is stunningly beautiful and lots to do there include great restauants and access to many vineyards. The seas around Cape Town can be very rough. It took Captain Melnikov at least three passes before we were able to dock in 2017. Others have reported missing ports due to weather at this part of the world. Do post if you have specific questions.
  2. I think we had the same guide. He really did not talk "politics" but you knew what he was implying.
  3. Agree. Handing anything to begging children is not helping anything. Look what it did in places like Egypt - you can't walk anywhere withour being mobbed by kids begging. The best alternative to giving children money is to find a reputable NGO or charity and donate to the organization or make a donation to the local school.
  4. Go to your Reservation and see if you can book Privee. Probably you can. Plenty of time to find friends to join you. You can always cancel.
  5. I think your brain is correct. We used OBC to pay for Privee in 2015.
  6. We have owned this stock for awhile and for FWIW it is much more difficult to get the shareholder benefits from NCL than CCL Not saying that it's not a good idea if you want to buy 100 shares but there is also no guarantee that they are going to continue to give share holder benefits.
  7. FWIW: "As of June 16, 2019, U.S. citizens do not need a visa if they are traveling to Brazil for tourism, business, transit, artistic or sport activities, with no intention of establishing residence."
  8. 2/14/2022 on Marina does not include the Amazon. You may want to switch to the 2/26/2022 sailing if you want the Amazon.
  9. Days are active. Evenings can be quiet. Never had a problem with motion sickness on any of our voyages on 5 of the O ships but would not hesitate to take Bonine if I had a doubt. Go for it and enjoy!
  10. Looking forward to making reservations tomorrow night for November. Will be much more excited if the ship actually sails.😷
  11. I haven't been on Celebity in 15 years since I was trying to decide between the 2 lines to use for South America. Upon competion of the Celebrity cruise I cancelled the one I had booked, went with Oceania and never went back. The Oceania experience is more intimate, quiet and comes with fabulous food and great itineraries.
  12. Exactly. Depends on how many "sub-catagories" there are and what's available on the specific sailing. With the July 4 sale we got a P3 for the price of an A-1.
