oceaniacruiserri Posted January 16, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2017 Hi, we will be on the Riveria for 10 days in the Caribbean. We are not interested in the internet package but would like to do a quick text every other day or so just to make sure no one is bleeding:) We can call Verizon but will anyone share your experience? Can we be reached on sea days? Thank you!

Iamthesea Posted January 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2017 With this new Wi-Fi calling, I should not have to pay Verizon at all! It's new to me, so have yet to try it. previously, when at sea, I use my iPad to send iMessages to my family. We usually have a good amount of free Internet minutes to totally free Internet access from the cruiselines. I also send emails with the iPad. I will sign up for International Plans when overseas or in Canada. So in port, I can call or text all I want for as little as $2 a day (Canada) or $10 a day (Europe.) You are only charged if you use your phone that day. Just be sure to take into consideration of the time back home. :D
