Has anyone been to this port yet? What can you tell us about Princess Cays? Does the boat (will be on the Pride) tender or dock? Thanks for any info you can provide. Going there for the first time.

It is a tender port . Otherwise everything is almost like being on the ship.

It's basically a beach day.

It is a beautiful beach. I have been there on several Princess ships. I took a tour of the island outside the gates. We saw a lot. There is also a nature preserve, but that tour was cancelled when I tried to take it.

 

There are also locals outside of the gate selling their wares. Make sure you have your sail & sign card or you won't get back in.

It is a tender port and all food and drinks were carried from the ship by Princess crews thru the tenders. There were beach clamshells for rental and an area for beach volleyball.

I have read that the drink packages are no good at Half Moon Cay, will they work on Princess Cay?

Princess Cruise policy on drink package is applied at Princess Cay. So I guess Carnival Cruise Line's policy will also apply for their guests.
