irishkairishka Posted January 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2017 we will be on a cruise stop in Feb - what would be the best beach to go snorkel with calm water. we will be using taxi. we don't care much about anything else like if its crowded or not, if it has showers / good place to eat/drink or not etc. if there is no good beach for snorkel maybe you can recommend a tour group that can take us to places? Thank you!
Happythoughts1 Posted January 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2017 I would look at divers reports for ppm of waste in water. I would say be careful and use resorts. You can get sick from drinking water so that tells me I would want to boat away awhile before snorkling. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Thank you! The only place of any note (from the beach) is the top end of Half Moon Bay. Not brilliant but a very good variety of fish. There are no chairs, so take some towels, refreshments available. Had no problem with a taxi, although some on CC have posted concerns, and suggested a hire car (but one would suggest a vehicle with sat-nav).
