Lobster on a 5 night cruise

We cruised Enchantment last week on a 5 nighter and had lobster on Thursday night (4th night).

Just curious but did you have some port changes due to hurricane damage? There was some thought on this thread earlier that lobster might have been re added to make up for missing Cozumel..

In any case, if I'm prepared to be NOT served lobster, and then we ARE served it, it will be a nice surprise (in stead of the other way around.

I look forward to future reports!

Come to Maine and have lobster the way it should be - outdoors at a picnic table with lots of butter..... (wait until summer though - as it is a little cold outside!!!)

trivia - Never underestimate the power of advertising - up until the 30's when airplanes were first used for shipping lobsters out of state they were considered "poor people" food. Because of complaints we still have a law on the state books that states that lobster may not be sevred to Maine State prisoners more than 3 times per week" They were being fed lobster too often and it was determined to be unfair.

Enjoy! Jan

I've heard this before....A guy I worked with who retired a few years back grew up in Maine and his parents were somehow involved in the fishing industry. He talked about how he desperately tried to trade his "Lobster Sandwiches" his mother packed him for lunch. He said Lobster were "those damn things that got caught in the net" when they were trying to get REAL fish.

But... I STILL like lobster tails on the cruise... I know it's not great lobster but it's lobster

My grandfather used to tell us that they ate it in school when he was a boy in NYC. Not sure if that is true or not but I always thought it was a great idea since I LOVE lobster!!
