Maya to Carnival Port in Long Beach?

I'm having trouble placing things-we're flying into LAX so will have to shuttle to our hotel in Long Beach. I'm thinking of staying at the Maya, but can't place how close it is to the actual port. I've been to the aquarium and know there's water between there and the port....can you walk from the Maya to the port? Or does the hotel provide a complimentary shuttle? I didn't see anything about it on the Doubletree website...but I think my eyes are getting strained from searching. Thanks!

I would ask this on the Carnival Forum and the Meet & Greet if you have the cruise booked.

The Maya is about 1 mile away from the Dome. There is a hotel shuttle or you could simply walk over.
