Miami port question

Hi,

 

Leaving tomorrow from Miami, driving down, usually we leave from Port Everglades but this time going out of Miami. Never drove to that port before, looks easier for access than port Everglades, is it feasible to drop off our luggage then meet someone at Bayside for lunch, then go back to port? How is parking at Bayside? We are planning on parking at the port even though it is pricey. Thanks!

It's very easy to drop off your luggage at the pier and take the short five minute drive over to Bayside Marketplace. There's a large parking garage there and then a two minute walk to the marketplace area. Plenty of places to have a few drinks and a nice lunch before you drive back to the pier area. The parking garages at the Port Of Miami are large with plenty of spaces. It's a short walk back to the terminal where you will checkin and board the ship. Checkin usually starts around 11:00AM and boarding begins around 12 noon. Rooms are usually ready at 1:30PM. Enjoy your cruise.
