Excursions

Anyone else unhappy with virtually NO EXCURSIONS on day two in St. Petersburg? After we found none available except for some remote museum - we called, they said they would try to post more. But Russia is one port that, without a special VISA, you cannot leave the ship unless on a ship sanctioned tour. Looks like we will be locked on the ship for that second day. What a bummer. Russia was one of the ports we were anxious to visit.

Perhaps if they get enough complaints, they will actually add something useful for that second day.

There is TONS of discussion on reliable and well priced private tour operators in St Petersburg on the Europe Destinations board. You don't need a visa if you use an approved tour operator there. Just look at that board and I'm sure you can find a reliable independent tour. No need to waste a full day in such a magnificent city.

Dear rmrcpa,

We responded to you on another thread but, at the risk of repeating ourselves, we also wanted to clarify your concerns here.

Rest assured that there are, in fact, a variety of shore excursions being offered on your second day in St. Petersburg. If you are unable to view these options on My Viking Journey, please contact us at TellUs@vikingcruises.com so that we can troubleshoot any issue and connect you with a Viking representative who can assist with booking your tours.

Thank you for the opportunity to address your comments, rmrcpa. We apologize for any confusion and look forward to helping you make the most of your time in St. Petersburg.

Kind regards,

Viking Cruises

VIking it would be great if you could offer an included tour both in leHarve and the " Berlin" ports for those who choose not to take long days to Paris or Berlin!
