Any kids? What day of the week?

With kids I would check out the San Juan Night Tales Tour. begins at 6 and is 2 hrs long to cover a two mile loop. Visits different historic sites tied to legendary romances and ghost stories. Also provides rare visits inside the gated courtyards of osj historic mansions.

Without kids: have a really nice dinner and then check out Newyorkrican Cafe (312 Calle San Fransisco) or Rumba Night Club (152 Calle San Sebastian) for some salsa dancing (or salsa dancing watching) this is where it was invented..... doesnt get going until @10 or for live jazz try Cafe Bohemio at the El Convento Hotel (100 Calle del Cristo).

Or there is always the casinos.

Thanks Jim B and Texancruz for the info. There are 2 other couples going with us and no kids:) (there staying at home with the grandparents). We will be there on a Monday. The Legends tour and Nights of San Juan tour sound very interesting. I am assuming that these are tours that are not offered on cruise ships, since I don't remember them on the Carnival site. Where would I go to book? Any more info on them would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know much about your preferences, but if the moon is right there is a phenomenal bio-bay tour, where you take a kayak out to a phosphorescent bay, where the water, and water life leaves a glowing trail. Plus the condado area has some fun night life too for adults.

we've been there 3 times, what are you looking for? You need 4 ships in port to have the main shopping stores open, if this helps.

I've been looking at the Night Tales tour of OSJ and it begins at 6:00pm. We've supposed to dock at 5:00 01/14/2006. I had read somewhere here, but can't find now:rolleyes: something about a difference in ship time & island time. Would we be able to make the tour at that time of year? Does getting off the ship in San Juan take a long time? Also *****.com said it's 12 blocks from the pier, would a taxi be necessary? Anyone know what a taxi would cost? Any help appreciated?
