Navigator Eastern Itin: ship time vs island time

Hi Everyone!

I will be sailing on the Navigator of the Seas next March. In St. Thomas I am thinking of booking an excursion on my own, not with RCI, and I want to be sure not to mess up the meeting time. My itinerary says that the ship will be in port from 8 am till 6 pm. My question is this: Is that local St. Thomas time (Atlantic), or is it ship's time? Does the ship stay on the same time zone as Miami (Eastern) for the whole cruise, or does it change at some point? This is SO confusing for me. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks!
