Contacting the Maitre D?

I keep reading comments where people email the Maitre D with requests. I am going to be on Carnival Magic next week and want to ask the Maitre D about a dining request. How do you find the email?

Just curious going on my 1st cruise on the Ecstasy on April 29th. What things would you email them for? I Have My cousin and his wife coming and she can't eat gluten.

We email about 2 to 3 weeks ahead of cruise to request a private table for the 3 of us. We dont typically get a response but our table is always ready and waiting for us.
