Port Canaveral Flight

MCO is the best option. You could fly out of Daytona but there fewer flights out of there.

Not sure the best time, I only live 40 miles from the port. I have been home by 9 am after a cruise.

I never cruised out of Port Canaveral before. What is the earliest time I should book a flight from MCO?

Are other airports an option?

I wouldn't book the earliest flight.

You always have to face the things that "May" go wrong.

Immigration may back-up on the ship.

Are you driving yourself and need to return the car?

What day of the week are you speaking about?

The number of ships in port adds to the rush.

MCO and getting through the Airport security lines, as you are also against those who are just visiting Disney or the other attractions.

An accident on 528 (Straight shot) that could make you detour.

MCO runs smoothly because of the traffic they have, but it's you that has to make the decision.

The next closest airport would be Melbourne, but the traffic getting there is impossible. It's almost all city traffic while MCO is not.

For those who want to compare airline ticket prices to Port Canaveral.... and have the time... it would be wise to check prices in both airports although you are limited in airlines.

We recently flew into Sanford. Got cheap tickets and a direct flight from ABE airport. About an hour drive to port.

Yep

I forgot about Sanford.

People need to check different airports for pricing.

Sometimes you can fly out of a smaller airport near you, and into another smaller airport near your destination for less money.

When we went to South America, we kept looking at flying through Miami as they are the gateway to there.

Well, checking Melbourne we flew out of there....UP to Atlanta...Changed planes, and then a direct flight to RIO.

Sure it took longer, but we saved over $600 per person.
