Coral - Movies Under the Stars

I assume the Princess Patter will announce the showtimes that MUTS are played. Typically, how far in advance of the showtime do you need to get to the MUTS deck to be assured of a couple of seats - how early do they fill up...or do they typically fill up? (I suppose that might depend on the movie that is being shown.)

Thanks.

On our Ruby Princess trip to Hawaii we went to MUTS three times. Always seemed well attended but not what I'd call crowded. We were in the Pacific in April though and the weather was a bit chilly (we used the blankets on the lounges to wrap up and brought up hot chocolate from the International Café). I would say for 4 chairs/lounges together you might want to be 10 minutes early:o.

They are almost vacant for some of those concert reruns that seem to play on every cruise. Very busy for major sporting events. Latter can be annoying because screen goes blank during commercials.

The crowds for the evening movies on MUTS really varies. A lot depends on the movie, the weather, what else is happening on the ship that evening, the demographics of that sailing. I've seen it from packed to virtually empty. Here are a few photos I took during one of the evening movies on the Coral during a 15 day Panama Canal cruise. As you can see, there were plenty of empty deck chairs for that show:

(BTW: generally speaking MUTS will show the same movie twice the same evening, usually at 7PM and 10PM. The 10PM showing will always be less crowded. And, yes, the times will be in your daily Princess Patter.)
