La Quinta Inn and Suites Miami Airport East

Has anyone stayed there recently? I am hoping to get some current reviews of the hotel. I have seen a number of reviews on different websites and while some were pretty good, others were not so flattering. I am trying to decide on a place to stay with car parking while on our cruise. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

This hotel is used by lots of cruisers needing a night and parking. It's a moderate chain. Nothing to fear from those here that have recommended it.

 

Nicer places might be found in the Blue Lagoon area. There's a Hampton Inn there with pretty secure parking, I've read.

Basic budget hotel popular with cruisers. As mentioned above, better hotels in a nicer area near MIA can be found in the Blue Lagoon neighborhood; we've used the Homewood Suites Blue Lagoon a couple of times when flying in late and were very happy.
