Dianagail Posted March 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2017 My price dropped overnight! My trip is fully paid and it was a rate with price protection. It came with $50.00 on board credit. If I claim this new price, that doesn't come with on board credit, will I loose the credit that I currently have? hotsauce126 Posted March 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Yeah when you submit a price protection claim you forfeit any promotional OBC that you already had. For example, for my next cruise I had $50 OBC, then found a $60 price drop. After I submitted it, since I lost the $50 OBC but received $60 OBC from the price drop, I only came out $10 ahead
Dianagail Posted March 9, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Darn! I would come off with a $20 loss Sent from my iPhone using Forums
SkyMaster Posted March 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Darn! I would come off with a $20 loss Yep,,,,you've got to figure all the angles, and see what works the best for you. Sometimes it's better just to wait and see what happens, rather than lose an OBC. I too, have had it happen both ways. "SKY"
