Looking for recommendations or advice on transportation from Monte Carlo dock to Nice airport. there are four in our group and flight time is 10:15 to Paris.

Looking for recommendations or advice on transportation from Monte Carlo dock to Nice airport. there are four in our group and flight time is 10:15 to Paris.

 

You have a few options...the most fun being a helicopter (they actually have that service from Monte Carlo to NCE). With 4 folks (and luggage) we think your best bet would be to pre-book your transfer (you can find several companies online including Shuttledirect). A large car of van will probably cost you 100-125€....but is probably worth it (for most folks) in terms of convenience. It is also possible to use public transit...but this does have its hassles. For example, using the train means you need a taxi to the train station (which will likely cost you about 25€) and then you have to handle your own luggage. And the NCE train station is some distance from the terminals which generally means you would need to use the shuttle bus to the terminal after a few minute walk.

We have no recent experience with local operators so cannot give you a personal recommendation, As to time, you need to allow around 45 min (an hour would be playing it safer) for the drive. Since your flight is domestic (within the EU) you should be fine if you get to the airport around 2 hours before your flight. Personally we would want to be in the car/van by 7:15 which gives you some extra margin in case of heavy trafffic or an accident.
