CrusingForever Posted March 16, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2017 My husband and I are going on a Princess transatlantic cruise to Europe in two weeks. One of the ports we are stopping at is Le Havre France. We have an excursion booked to go to Versailles. Has anyone done this excursion in the past, and if so is it worth the $530? Also how much of Versailles is toured? Are the gardens included? And is the offered lunch good? Thanks in advance, can't seem to find any reviews online. :)
Rare marazul Posted March 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) It is a bit over two hours each way to go from Le Havre to Versailles. A lot depends on how much time you are allowed at the palace. Check the palace website and compare it to the excursion description to see what they offer. Or call the cruise line with questions about it. http://en.chateauversailles.fr/ As for lunch, it will be whatever they give you or where you have it. You have no control over it. So go for the palace and hope it is a good lunch. It probably will be. There are several restaurants in the gardens, so it depends which one they use. Ask the cruise line. http://en.chateauversailles.fr/plan-your-visit/facilities?tid=188 Edited March 17, 2017 by marazul
