Tips for shooting Underwater

My wife bought me a early Dad's day gift with a Mekinon Underwater case for my Sony A6k. What tips does anyone have, besides to remember to enable my rear screen with brightness set on high. Should I shoot RAW with underwater WB? things like that. I will be using my kit lens I don't know if my manual 35mm prime will fit or if I should even consider it.

Thanks

John

Shoot in RAW and manually white balance if feasible. Underwater WB presets usually only work for very shallow depths. Fine if you're snorkeling perhaps, but not if you're diving. It's not terribly important for photos, but if you shoot video as well, you'll have much better results.

Be obsessive in making sure the gasket and gasket mating surfaces are clean before sealing it up - takes very little to allow water ingress.

Close up the housing in an air-conditioned environment to avoid fogging - I usually hold mine under an A/C vent to get the dryest air possible.
