poona1 Posted March 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2017 Hi Cruisers...When it comes to cheap gourmet dinners, you can't beat a cruise...so i arranged a list of the best food from each and every restaurant...with the exception of ocean blue, pinchos tapas or food republic..feel free to add further items...and keep in mind, ncl makes slight changes to the menu every spring...also, ncl attempts to recreate the local dishes which are usually great to try (conch fritters in the carribean)... Quilting_Cruiser Posted March 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2017 I love a few of the things on your list and can't stand some of the others. My list would look very different. But, I'll bet we can agree that it's a really good thing that NCL has so many different restaurants. That's actually what got me to try NCL to begin with--I was tired of having only one specialty restaurant to eat at during the week. On my first NCL cruise, I had UDP and ate in specialties every evening. I was hooked. :D
poona1 Posted March 20, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted March 20, 2017 op here...yes what is posted is subjective but my primary reason to do this is twofold... 1. to taste the best, most popular dish from each restaurant 2. as a guide to others who want to know what each restaurant offers
NMLady Posted March 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 20, 2017 op here...yes what is posted is subjective but my primary reason to do this is twofold... 1. to taste the best, most popular dish from each restaurant 2. as a guide to others who want to know what each restaurant offers Le Bistro has not offered lobster in a long time. Neither has Cagneys, and the buffet no longer has seafood night either. Also the tomahawk is no longer available on some ships. Makes me wonder how many of your other listings are no longer available, And what new things have replaced them. Since menus change, your guide is not accurate. Quilting_Cruiser Posted March 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2017 op here...yes what is posted is subjective but my primary reason to do this is twofold... 1. to taste the best, most popular dish from each restaurant 2. as a guide to others who want to know what each restaurant offers I wasn't criticizing, just pointing out that your favorites aren't mine so my list would be different. It seems every time someone asks what are the favorites at the specialty restaurants the thread does end up with practically everything on the menu being cited as a favorite. :D Out of curiosity, has NCL ever released anything that shows what the most ordered dishes are at each restaurant? That might be interesting to see...I haven't seen anything like that.
poona1 Posted March 20, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted March 20, 2017 lol..nice bbryan... I used to think menu's were introduced and changed only at spring but it seems that they change more often than that and also individual shipwise...guess i have to take everything with a grain of salt (pun intended)
