Transatlantic Help

Hi

looking at TA Spring 2018 Eastbound to Southampton. Disappointed to see IOS is going via Cork no expert but assume this will be a more northerly/ colder route and perhaps more choppy. We will be staying in Orlando before sailing and thought driving to FTL would be daunting so not sure how much harder it would be to go to Miami to sail on NOS and will its route be cold and choppy too. Sorry for all the questions but we had to miss out on a TA this spring as husband was too ill to travel so just trying to get it right for next spring.

Thanks

If you are driving from Orlando, it's not a huge difference to push on past Ft. Lauderdale to Miami. You're already on the road for 3+ hours. Another 20-30 minutes would not be a big deal to us.

I agree with Bob- and you may want to consider driving to Miami the day before you sail. Stay overnight and relax that evening, and be one of the first onboard in the morning. :)
