Killing time from disembarkation FF to flight from Miami (late afternoon)

We will probably book the Princess Everglades trip on the day of disembarkation from FLL which will get us back to MIA after the Everglades tour. We did a similar visit about 6 years ago (not cruise tour). I guess it's the easiest option, as our flight back leaves at around 5 pm. Any other suggestions. I do not want to hire a car!;) There will be me, and two teenagers!

The Miami Airport has a hotel attached with a rooftop pool that offers day rates.

That rooftop pool has been closed for some time now, well over a year. They have no clue if/when it will ever reopen... That hotel is a horrible dump anyway though.

Renting a car for the day would be your best bet, but if you don't want to do that then either the Everglades tour that drops you off at MIA, or a day room at an airport hotel would probably be your best bet.

The nicer MIA airport hotels are in an area on the south side of the airport called Blue Lagoon. These are all nice hotels in that area...

Do the Princess Everglades Airboat tour again, it's certainly not something you get to do everyday. Besides, your children have grown, they might not remember what it was like 6 years ago. ;)
