Pride of America, Best Month?

My wife and I were on the POA in January several years ago. While it was nice we were surprised there were no fragrant flowers during that time of the year. Any suggestions on the best month to visit the Hawaiian islands to experience the fragrance if we were to make a return trip? Thanks.

We have been in March, and in the summer and find that there is more in bloom in March than in the summer, but that is not to say that flowers are not abundant all the time. Often to experience what you are seeking you have to get away from population centers.
