JLT Posted April 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Is it necessary to book a taxi tour in advance in SPP or can one find taxis on the pier? Any recommendations? Thanks for any information.
Lawhouse Posted April 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Just pick one up or walk. It is a very walkable place Sent from my iPad using Forums
JLT Posted April 5, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted April 5, 2017 Thanks. That's the problem. I can't walk except with a walker and only short distances.
Bob++ Posted April 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2017 And apart from the sea front, SPP roads are steep and uneven; not easy for people with mobility problems. There are always a good number of taxis at the port to meet a ship, but pre-booking would probably be a good idea. The buses are reasonably easy too. Guernseycruiser Posted April 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2017 There is Le Petit Train, that departs from very close to the tender station, which would take you around some of St Peter Port. http://www.visitguernsey.com/content/petit-train I would recommend seeing parts of the island as well by taxi, some of the drivers are also Accredited tour guides, but this would need pre-booking.
