Day Room in Fort Lauderdale

We are going to be in Fort Lauderdale post cruise in July. We will get off the ship around 9am & our flight doesn't leave FLL until 8:15pm. Has anyone booked a day room in the past or even just a pool day pass? I found the Roadway Inn for $59 for 4 people, but I can't find anything else. Looks a little sketchy. Reviews are all over the place. It will be me & my two teenage children. Thank you in advance! :D

Welcome to cruise critic! Some posters have said that they got day rooms at the Renaissance and the Riverside - both much nicer hotels than the Rodeway/ The catch is that you can't make reservations in advance - you just need to call that morning. In your favor is the fact that July is low season here in South Florida so the demand shouldn't be very great.
