croix153 Posted April 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Hi all, booked thanksgiving W. Carib cruise on Freedom of the Seas. Planning excursions, and saw something that seems odd. We want to do a ruins excursion at one of the mexico stops (Cozumel + Costa maya) and were debating between Chaccoben, chichen itza, and Tulum, so far leaning towards Tulum due to natural beauty / beach and proximity to port (which leads to my question). At the Cozumel excursions page, it says that all of the Tulum excursions take 8 hours, while the chichen itza excursion only takes 6 hours....how is this possible?? Isn't Chicken Itza MUCH further away from the port than Tulum?
schmeed Posted April 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Yes, Chichen Itza is 2x a far from the ferry stop than Tulum. Is there something else on the Tulum tour? A lunch or beach stop?
