Curious Excursion Times on Cruise Planner

Recommended Posts

Hi all, booked thanksgiving W. Carib cruise on Freedom of the Seas. Planning excursions, and saw something that seems odd.

We want to do a ruins excursion at one of the mexico stops (Cozumel + Costa maya) and were debating between Chaccoben, chichen itza, and Tulum, so far leaning towards Tulum due to natural beauty / beach and proximity to port (which leads to my question).

At the Cozumel excursions page, it says that all of the Tulum excursions take 8 hours, while the chichen itza excursion only takes 6 hours....how is this possible?? Isn't Chicken Itza MUCH further away from the port than Tulum?
