Our Day in Roatan

We were on a cruise during Christmas week and stopped in Roatan. We had rain and overcast weather during our day, but it did not keep us from getting out and enjoying the island. You can read about my post and see pictures here.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was that awesome plate of crab and lobster at Gio's? I'm going back to Roatan next month...

I think it was $40 or $45. It was so worth it as everything is fresh. Allow plenty of time as they cook it fresh.

Thanks for your posts of your day in Roatan and Costa Maya. We are also going to Cozumel but I haven't checked it yet to see if you posted there yet. We used your itinerary that you did in St. Croix on our cruiselast year and did most of what you did. It was the best day of our cruise.

Cozumel will post on May 8, Belize will post on May 1. I am glad you enjoyed St Croix. There was not alot out there when we went there, so I am glad you enjoyed your day.

I do have a quick question about the vanilla. We always buy ours in Cozumel, and now the regular vanilla we can buy in the grocery stores tastes like crap. Is the vanilla from Roatan as good as Mexican vanilla? Not as concerned about cost, as much as taste. Thanks!

I have only used the Roatan vanilla so can't really answer your questions. Its so cheap on Roatan, just pick up a bottle and try it.
