Good news story from RCL customer service - thank you Casino Royale!

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to let you all know about a good news story about RCL customer service, because they seem few and far between on this board.

Back on April 3rd, we booked a last minute cruise on the Oasis for April 30 2017 through Casino Royale. We have already been on the Oasis 3 times since November 2014 and love it but were not very keen on seeing all of the shows again but we were going to wing it. After booking, we found out that about 1/2 the cruise was booked by a company for an incentive trip. We saw the Allure today online for about the same price as we paid so I figured why not call Casino Royale and see how much the damage would be to switch ships.

I went into the phone call with the full expectation that the rep would say we could not change without paying the full penalty. If that was the case we just would have left the reservation on the Oasis and loved every minute of it.

Low and behold, a very kind rep by the name of Eric was able to move us over to the Allure with no penalty and he same price! I was floored!

We had been in a Cat Q on deck six and ended up in an Interior Guarantee on Allure that has yet to be assigned.

The only downside is DH had booked the Deluxe Package at 20% off & I had the Sip & Stream. The Deluxe alone is not available for the Allure sailing at this point so we will end up paying more for DHs drink package, but that is peanuts.

I know the Allure is virtually identical to the Oasis but I am excited to see the shows and we prefer the ports on this Allure sailing. At the time we had booked, the Allure was several hundred dollars more.

I wanted to send a huge thank you to RCL and to Eric from Casino Royale!

Uh oh, I'm on the April 30, 2017 Oasis cruise for my first cruise. Do you have any more info on this "company incentive trip"?

It was really not my main reason for switching, but was an influence. The only thing I know was what was mentioned in the roll call. Apparently it is an incentive trip for LuLaRoe which appears to be a company that sells women's clothing. It sounds like it works similar to how Tupperware or Mary Kay is sold. I had never heard of the company until I read about the group. Apparently about 1/2 the ship will be from the company, at least according to a comment on the roll call. It was mentioned that it should not interfere with shows and access to venues.

By the way it was Club Royale not Casino Royale that I had called

Call them back and see if you can get into the slot tournament that is going on for that cruise. It's a 20k one and maybe you qualify for entry.

Cool! I will give them a call when I get home
