Escape - Boarding Port of Miami with a Mobility Scooter (rental)

This is a question for those who have embarked with either their own mobility scooter or a rented one. When we cruise (on other lines), hubby always rents a mobility scooter from the Special Needs at Sea group. On other lines, the scooter is always left in the cabin for him. We don't need to pick it up beforehand. and embarkation is pretty simple: we arrive at the port, someone from the port has a wheelchair ready for him and they push him onto the ship, and I just follow along. There's no getting in any line or waiting in any specific area or zone, nor do we need to adhere to any specific boarding time, etc. So I never had to worry about any of that.

However, NCL seems to do things differently. This time in the port of Miami (for the Escape), we were told to go to Terminal B to pick up the rental scooter from the Special Needs at Sea group. Ok, no problem, but where do we go from there? We know we have to Board at Terminal A. Do we still have to go to a specific area in Terminal A to board...with anyone else in a scooter or wheelchair? I'm sure we need to make our way over to an elevator. Do we just get into the "line" with everyone else not in a wheelchair or scooter? Any info would be helpful so we don't wander around not knowing the correct process for boarding with a scooter. Thanks.

We rented a scooter for one of our group in Nov. There is a spot right after customs that you pick the scooter up. We were escorted to a special line to get our key cards and then on to the ship, you are boarded very early (after the suites, but before they called the other numbers to board). If you have any specific questions, they are great about answering them. We were very pleased with the entire process. (the gentleman with us was not able to walk very far, so they made an exception for him, and brought his scooter to him BEFORE the customs check).

We rented a powerchair for my mom on the Escape out of Miami on June 3. We were advised to pick it up at the Special Needs at Sea kiosk in Terminal B. Our eDocs, however, told us to board from Terminal C. I called Special Needs at Sea and they will now have the powerchair in my mom's stateroom. Someone from the port or NCL will help her board, and she will retrieve the chair from her cabin. They seem to be pretty easy to work with, so far.
