garyb(uk) Posted May 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2017 Are all the elevators on the Navigator the open glass type? I couldn't get my wife to go in those on our RCCL ship. Fortunately they also had enclosed ones.
Portolan Posted May 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2017 The rear elevators on all Regent ships are enclosed in a shaft. On all (?) but the Navigator, there are both glassed-in and closed elevators in the forward bank. The glassed-in elevators on Navigator and the other ships overlook the internal atrium unlike some ships where they face outward to the sea. So, you can use the rear elevators on the Navigator and/or your wife may find that the forward glassed-in elevators aren't problematic...no sense of thrill with those elevators. GOARMY Posted May 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2017 Re: Elevators. We are currently aboard Navigator. The forward set have glass; the rear ones do not. So far, wonderful cruise. We are on our way to this evening's Cruise Critic-sponsored "reception". GoARMY
garyb(uk) Posted May 27, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted May 27, 2017 as we are all but at the front of the Navigator (902 Port) looks like we are using the stairs alot even though I am walking stick disabled. As long as they have good hand rails to hold onto ;p
liptastic Posted May 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 27, 2017 Gary we were twice in the same corridor as you have booked, although nearer the lift end. If I can recall the glass lifts are not too big or too open if you know what I mean. You can also walk right through the corridor to the rear lift area depending on which floor you are going to.
