Melissa at Mohair Meadows Posted May 31, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2017 I have volunteered to organize our cruise's slot-pull on the Millenium. I have only participated in slot-pulls on S-Class ships where we used $3.00/pull Wheel of Fortune machines. Both times we almost broke even. I am not familiar with slot machines. Does anyone have recommendations on which machine would be fun to use for our activity? We'd like to keep it at the $3/pull range. Thanks for your help. cruzincurt Posted May 31, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2017 I suggest a $1 three reel straight muliplier (not a progressive) ie., 600, 1200, 1800 for example and play three coins. Some like the Wheel of Fortune because of the potential SPIN feature. My DW actually hit it for $1000 once. jcc1025 Posted June 1, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2017 We have done the $3 WOF slots twice, once broke even and once made a coupe of bucks. Got our money's worth from the fun we had. Sent from my iPad using Forums
cruiserking Posted June 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2017 We also always play the Wheel of Fortune, max $3 a spin. It's a lot of fun when the wheel cranks up. Last summer on Anthem of the Seas each couple won $40. Jonathan
flamomo Posted June 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2017 Just a suggestion .... Whatever game you choose, try to locate one that has plenty of open floor space around it. especially if you get a lot of people signing up for the slot pull. That way your group has room to gather and stand around during the event, and others in the casino have plenty of room to get past where you are. I have participated in slot pulls with 50+ players and a bunch of roll call people standing by to watch, which took up a lot of space.

SadieN Posted June 1, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 1, 2017 Talk with the casino host early in the cruise. They've been very helpful on other lines. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Sequim88 Posted June 1, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 1, 2017 Talk with the casino host early in the cruise. They've been very helpful on other lines. Yes, on RCCL (sister line to X) we did and they were able to provide "trinket" type prizes for various "side" contests like "who won the most on a single pull" or "who won the most total on their pulls". Depending on the sizeof the group think up several and the larger the group the more "prizes" the casino manager might come up with. The group of 50 mentioned - if like out last slot pull the buy in was $30 (10 X 3 coin pulls per person) that would be $1,500 in play. Plenty to justify some gifts - especially due to the attraction factor to all the noise and commotion bringing more people to the highly profitable casino area.
