lasekeye Posted June 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Our first cruise and we are splurging for a balcony room. We would like some thoughts on which side of the ship would be best to see the islands while at sea and at dock to see the port. Thanks
Rare Essiesmom Posted June 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Well to begin, make sure you are on deck when you pass under the Lions Gate bridge leaving Vancouver. Then, you have five sea days to Hawaii. You might have marginally more sun on your balcony on port side. Or you might consider whether you want to see sunrises (port side) or sunsets (starboard side). For Hawaii ports I would go over to the Ports of Call board for Hawaii. Not sure if you dock in all of the ports or if some are tendered. EM
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2017 To be honest it will make no difference. I would pick a room that is more mid ship on the deck and not worry about what side you will be on. Have a wonderful time. Keith
