Rocchi Posted July 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2017 2014 around South America on the Shadow. Between SA and Falkland Islands. Air temp. 5C, sea temp. 7C, pool temp. warm. I don't understand why they did not heat the pool water as it is waste heat that is used for that. I see the sea temp. is about 8C with the Shadow in Alaskan waters. That is way to cold for any enjoyment in the pool.
Observer Posted July 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 6, 2017 On the Shadiow and pool is NOT heated! I think I would pop into the Hotel Director's office and ask why it is not heated. Is the heating system broken? Has someone forgotten to turn on a switch? Is this a corporate decision for some reason?
rpfarris Posted July 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 7, 2017 When I was on the Shadow in May on the Transpacific Crossing, the air temperature was 1C, the water temperature was 1C and no one wanted to use the pool. The two whirlpool bathes were definitely heated and constantly in use. Even during a hail storm!
