Miami - Marriott ??

I am a Marriott Rewards member and am looking for a hotel close to the Port of Miami but also close to restaurants and nightlife.

 

Also, will be travelling with a group of about 20.

Closest to the Port:

 

These 3 are about the same distance:

Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay (9-10 blocks North of the Port)

Courtyard Miami Downtown/Brickell, JW Marriott Marquis Miami (both about 8-9 blocks South of the Port)

 

There is also the JW Marriott Miami, which is about 16-20 blocks South of the Port (actually in the Brickell are of Miami, as opposed to the Courtyard Downtown/Brickell mentioned above).

 

The ones to the South of the Port will have more nightlife nearby than the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay.

 

If you prefer the nightlife on South Beach (about 10-15 minutes from the port), the best options are as follows:

Courtyard Miami Beach South Beach

Residence Inn Miami Beach South Beach

Blue Moon, Autograph Collection

Marriott Stanton South Beach

 

Of these 4, the Courtyard and the Blue Moon are going to offer the easiest walking to nightlife. The Marriott Stanton is toward the quieter part of South Beach (South of 5th Street).... The loudest parts of South Beach are probably 8th-20th Streets.

The list provided is quite good.

 

I would recommend the Marriott Marquis (very close to the port) or the JW Marriott about 15 minutes from the port of the ones mentioned.

 

Both are near lots of restaurants and night life.

Thank you for this list. I was also looking at a Marriott property to stay after a cruise and it looks like the Blue Moon has great price for the night I need.
