Gem 6 17 to 6 24 2017 family of 12

[GMCOLT]

We are NCL veterans Platinum level. That being said we had family who were new to cruising, cabins inside to minisuite.

EMBARKATION-arrived 10:30, got priority, onboard by 11:45.

Had table for 12 in Grand Pacific for wonderful lunch.

Patrick the Concierge was outstanding.

Everyday we started at at great outdoors aft, deck 12. Worked great with good weather.

PORT CANAVERAL

arrived at 1 as stated. We did space center shore excursion. Good tour, great history for our grandsons.

We felt tour operator a bit disorganized as far a pick up locations go.

GREAT STIRRUP CAY

We arrived much earlier than posted. We had priority tender, no issues. It was cool to see the tenders from the old SS NORWAY still in operation.

We did basic beach, snorkeling food and drink, which was enjoyed by all.

NASSAU

We arrived at midnight , not allowed off. However, some was having good party downtown.

We took water taxi to Atlantis. Got 42$ person day pass for whole place, AWESOME!.

Later senior frogs. Member dropped credit card through deck. Was retrieved by family by snorkeling, what a riot.!

Our grandson bartered for a sea turtle toy, another riot.

SEA DAYS HOME

great time, shows. Piano bar , Bistro and Cagneys.

Great cruise.

Few questions re Nassau:

Did you book Atlantis day pass thru NCLor buy a pass on site?

What is a water taxi? (Forgive my ignorance here)

We haven't booked anything on Nassau yet as far as excursions go so input is appreciated. :)

PS I cruised the Norway years ago. I had no idea they still used those tenders. Neat tidbit to read. Thanks!
