This is not true in our experience. We have always enjoyed our two bottles (per cabin) on the balcony...no corkage fee on balcony...how would "they" even know?

Yes, they mean 750 ml bottles. No, you do not pay $25 to have the wine inside your cabin - but you must pay the $25 to drink the wine on your balcony. Yes, the "corkage" fee applies to screw-caps, too.

Have you ever heard of the Balcony Police? They keep an eye on every balcony and report directly to the Captain. All smoking, drinking and "other" is recorded with high definition cameras.
