I am sure you will enjoy it. Have to say it's a nice ship, similar in many ways to Celebrity Eclipse, though that one is much newer. I found the balcony was disappointingly small, certainly no room for a lounger, but as you say, you could easily pull the sofa over. Cabin was a nice size though, plenty of storage and a good shower, bathroom too.

It will be our first ever balcony after many years of Thomson only cruises so really looking forward to a new experience.

You are going to have a major problem in future then. Once you have been in a balcony stateroom, there is no going back!

We were in 8566 in March/April and we and all nearby j. suites had a sun lounger.

Perhaps they were all added after your cruise shot2bits.

Good photo of the cabin, it shows how spacious it is.

PC - it's true it will spoil you. We've got 2 booked on D2, and after having had 8566 we booked junior suites again. We've had balconies on P&O but we think the junior suites on D1 & 2 are the best cabins of all.

We are on Ventura in two weeks. It will be interesting to compare P&O, Thomson and Celebrity balconies. We were Concierge on Celebrity but I don't think the balcony was any different to a standard balcony stateroom.
