Vow renewal or weddings

Looking for any information on Celebrity cruises vow renewals or weddings. We are sailing on the equinox in February 2018 and thought we may renew our wedding vows. Looking for past experiences, advice and basically any information or insight. The celebrity website no longer lists any packages available. We are not looking for a "group" renewal, we want more of a private event, second wedding kind of thing. Thanks in advance!!

Hello Bonedoc2; we too researched the vow renewal with Celebrity. I start by saying here is what their site refers to:

When booking a wedding or a vow renewal, our team will put you incontact with The Wedding Experience, our partners in romance. That being said, be careful and read the information you are sent carefully! There are various ceremonies available; some with "an officer" and then the "captain". It is quite ala carte in the planning; flowers, music, photos, 1 8oz glass of champagne for two, do you what ceremony on board or at a special location such as beach while in port. We opted to wait and do renewals on the beach in Hawaii.

Thanks, I received some info regarding weddings and vow renewals - not sure it's worth the $. Most of what is included in the fee, we would have already received with our suite and I would feel like I am paying for it twice. We decided to do it on our 25th instead while in Fiji.

First of all I hope you have a great time in Fiji, we loved our South Pacific cruise!

 

If you would still like to do something romantic on board think about getting the Murano's M'D roped in. On one of our cruises the waiters came out with their silver covered plates, did their 'voila' and there was the engagement ring! The M'D had also arranged for the photographer to appear....A very nice and special event. Just an idea incase you would like to surprise your partner with a special gift!
