How to check which Ports in Stockholm and Helsinki

I'm not sure how far in the future they post but I see they are available for our NCL Getaway cruise starting Aug 5th.

The Getaway docks at Statsgårdenin Stockholm on Aug 12th. I see in Rick Steve's book that the distance to old town is 1.6 miles (30 min walk) and the Hop-on Hop-off Bus stops at this Port. This is good news since I had heard other Getaway cruises docked at Nynashamnn which is 45 minutes out of Stockholm.

The Getaway docks at the West Harbour and Hernesaariin in Helsinki on Aug11th. According to Rick Steve's book, it's a nice long walk downtown (2 miles 40-50 mins) the Hop-on Hop-off Bus stops at this port.

Specifically in Helsinki you call at berth LMA which means you have a 5 min walk to the tram stop (line 9) at west terminal.

If you look on the NCL board there is a report from a recent cruise which called at the same quay in Stockholm. They said that the hop on hop off boats started early because the Getaway was docked so it was easy to get across the harbour using those.

I am on a Getaway cruise in a couple of weeks but in Stockholm we dock at Frihamnn which is on the other side of town.

On the getaway, like the regal/royal princess, you should be aware that it is difficult for large ships to dock directly in Stockholm. In case of adverse sailing conditions, you will be diverted to nynashamn. Hopefully, you will make it directly to Stockholm (at least one getaway cruise has posted on the Ncl forum that they made i!). But please be prepared prior to sailing in terms of researching transportation options if you are diverted.

You can check the port you leave/arrive in Copenhagen at:

I see the Getaway is docking on Aug 5th at Oceankaj - c331 Terminal 1

Now we have to figure out the best way to get there from downtown. We are not staying at the NCL recommended Hotel. We wanted to stay closer in town so we can walk everywhere.

The Oslo cruise schedule can be found here: http://oslohavn.no/no/cruise/

It will dock at SAK (Sondre Akershuskai), outside Akershus Castle. A port map of Oslo can be found here: http://www.oslohavn.no/en/passengers/passenger_traffic/cruise/
