CruisinGrandpa Posted July 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2017 Thought I posted this question on the Princess board, but. . . . ? So here goes again: Can anyone provide a comparison of the cat BE veranda's on the Coral, Emerald Deck, vs the Cat BD and BE, partially covered, deeper veranda's on the Grand Class (Grand, Golden, Star, etc) ships? We prefer those, and the deck plan on the Coral 'seems' to be similar, at least on Emerald Deck, but. . . Thanks for any advice / guidance
knbcruisers Posted July 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2017 caribe deck (deck 10) has some balconies that are the 9x9 you find on Grand class ships, but not all are oversized and full, partial and no coverage varies. Also some of the caribe deck cabins are minis not regular balconies. Google coral princess balconies and you should find the site with a detail plan of covered vs uncovered and lots of photos. That should help. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
jb008 Posted July 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2017 Back portion of Emerald deck on Coral Princess had bigger balconies that were fully covered. I just sailed in E703 in May and it was great - only downside was the aft wall was an actual bulkhead wall instead of a balcony divider. Loved having covered balcony though now because you don't fry in the sun and don't get as wet if it's raining. AFAIK the Coral deck plans on the Princess site are accurate as to bigger/smaller balcony size within the class (Balcony class, BE on Emerald deck show bigger size than the forward balcony cabins). Also specific to the room, when you click for details as you look at the deck plans it will list a room size that includes the bigger balcony (e.g., E303 lists 210 sq ft, E703 lists 234 sq ft, both are standard balcony rooms). intriguedkp Posted July 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2017 Visit this site for a good understanding of the deck plans on Coral http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/Princess/odell/res76zxu/princessbalconies/index.html It is before they made changes to Island, so the back is not accurate there. It will show partial to fully covered balconies, etc.
