I'd appreciate the names of some fine jewelry stores in St. John and St. Thomas. Looking to buy some fine pieces, probably in the $1000. - $4000. range. Are prices there better than in the states? (we live in NYC).

Any stones that are an exceptional bargain down there?

 

Any stores with a BAD reputation that we should stay away from?

My family and I have been doing business with Grand Jewelers in St Thomas for years and have bought expensive pieces from them and have always been more then satisfied. They have a huge selection and are very nice. I always deal with Lena or Nevin-they are the owners.

You definitely want to go to Nita's Jewelry in St. Thomas. They are located on Drakes Passage. We were there on the 27th of November & they have some of the most beautiful pieces that you will ever see. We walked in & we felt like we never left home, they even knew friends of ours & called them so we could make sure they were on the up & up. They have the greatest pieces & prices. Absolutely love my Blue Diamond & White Diamond circle of Love necklace. Go see the gang at Nita's & tell them hello from us.

Where exactly is Nitas? We have always had good luck at Cardow but would be interested in checking out Nitas this time around.
