Galleon1234 Posted July 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2017 We have never been to these ports. We are active and love to snorkel, but are open to any suggestions. Hoping Carnival will open some more choices for these ports. We are willing to go with other companies also. Thanks very much.

Galleon1234 Posted July 13, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted July 13, 2017 Do you just take a cab there? How far is it from the port in Curacao and is there a resort there by the good snorkeling. Thanks!
tattoos Posted July 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2017 I have to agree with Doggielover68, Mambo Beach has great snorkeling right from the beach. When you disembark the ship, go to the right where the Taxi stand is (little area with a roof) and tell the taxi driver to take you to Mambo Beach where the Blvd. shops are. The fare was $20 per load and there were four of us ($5/person). We made arrangements with our driver to return for us at a certain time and she was right on time waiting for us. It is a very short walk past the shops to the stairs leading down to the beach (there is also an elevator). There are lots and lots of lounge chairs for rent ($3 each) and someone will approach you after you choose your chair. There are lots of seating areas in and around the shops and restaurants on the Boulevard which overlooks the beach (including a Subway, ha!). There is also a couple of Tiki bars right on the beach that made some great Blue Hawaiians. And, most important, there are restrooms on the first floor near the elevator. There is a beautiful shallow pool right on the beach and I think they charge a fee for using it???? The beach and water were very clean and they have a diving float in the water and inflatable toys for the children. There is a natural rock barrier which prevents the surf from entering which makes a nice tranquil swimming and snorkeling experience. The snorkeling is fantastic, especially out near the rocks!!! We did not want to leave.
tattoos Posted July 13, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2017 I forgot to mention that it was only a 15 minute drive to Mambo Beach from the dock. If you want to check it out, there are postings on Youtube It is a gorgeous place to spend a few hours, safe, clean and an inexpensive excursion which you can do on your own.
