Wingnut46 Posted August 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2017 Hi Everyone! May 2018 We are getting married on a Sunday at sunset on the beaches of South Maui - it will be just the two of us. We are looking for suggestions for after the ceremony - we wanted to do something fun to keep the energy of the ceremony flowing. Here is the challenge, we wanted to do something other than dinner and drinks (we really don't drink and do not appreciate a fine dinner) - any suggestions??? Thank you! kitegirl Posted August 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2017 Maybe supper at Bubba Gumps would be fun.... or just enjoy people watching at one of the local hotels... Congrats on the upcoming wedding...
cccole Posted August 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2017 A couple things that come to mind...star gazing at the top of Haleakala, watching entertainment at one of the luau's without dinner. Since you are getting married at sunset a sunset cruise is not a possibility. Possibly there is an evening snorkel or dive trip? Will try to think of other things. Wingnut46 Posted August 2, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Kitegirl, Thank you for the congrats and the suggestions! I have a feeling with us being in our wedding clothes, we may be the ones that will be checked out - which will be awesome to see those smiling faces! Wingnut46 Posted August 2, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Hi CCCole, A luau is exactly what we had hoped for - even if we miss the dinner. Now to find one for a Sunday night! Star gazing at the top of Haleakala - that would be sentimental to us as it is how we finished our first date! I'm going to have to check the threads on Haleakala for more information. Thank you!!!
