Doubletree Biscayne Bay or Homewood suites Brickell

I am looking at both of these properties for a one night pre-cruise stay cursing out of Miami. Our Flight arrives at 9am in FLL so we will have the whole day. Seeing we have the whole day I felt Miami would be the better location to stay.

 

Which hotel would you choose and why?

 

Currently the Homewood is about $50 more for the night.

Doubletree offers a great pool and some rooms have a view of the port - but there are fewer local dining/shopping/nightlife options nearby. If you plan to explore South Beach during the day the Doubletree will be a slightly shorter taxi/Uber trip.

 

Bin 18 near the Doubletree (Biscayne & 18th) offers great tapas and an extensive wine and craft beer list! ;)
